Sea Gem

I stand on the cliff, above the deep blue.
One step forwards, then I threw
My heart, attached to a line and a hook,
A symbol of the endless pain that I took.

Now I shall fish and I shall wait,
Wishing that someone would take my bait.
This would be my only hope,
Ending feelings that I couldn't cope,

Now, where is my sweet darling bliss?
I had loved the way she used to kiss,
But that was all in the past,
Of course love never lasts,

She left without even a kiss good-bye,
While I was left all alone to cry,
She was my shining Sea Gem,
Will she ever love me again?

My Sea Gem's heart was set on the Mage,
Now it's his turn to run the stage,
I simply sat back and watched it unfold,
He took her hand and her heart was sold.

I wanted to cover my eyes and turn away,
Hoping that this vision wouldn't stay,
I can feel my lip quiver and a broken tear,
Now all I want is to disappear,

My cheeks are flushed and polished,
After watching all my hopes get demolished,
My precious Sea Gem, why don't you know
That your red love is my black foe?

The Mage is still in love with the Maid,
But she still doesn't see the trade,
My Sea Gem, her love is not in his heart,
Though she says they'll never depart,

Why doesn't she end me now?
I beg you, please kill me somehow,
I am trapped in this dark, endless hole,
Just, please, cut my throat and kill my soul.

One day, they'll open their eyes and see
How depressing my life really can be,
This morbid storm, soon it will be gone,
But, until then, everything still going wrong,

I watch my heart on the hook and line,
Wishing and dreaming for myself to be fine.
I'll wait for you, and maybe smile, too,
Because, my Sea Gem, I'm still thinking of you.
