Three Prayers
Hopes to the misfortunate

Part One:
Prayer of Jeremy Brooker

My lord,
My savior from the rotting and the dead,
Please heal my sickly Jeremy,
The soul that is found in his deathbed,

So sick he is,
Why the cigarette?
Please take the smoke from Jeremy's lungs,
And I beg you that his demise won't be met,

He cannot perish today,

Don't let him die this way,

My protector from slender poverty,
Please help Heriberto,
His hard and demanding life cannot be,

So stressed he is,
Why can't he rest?
Please give the wealth to Heriberto's family,
And I know he is doing his best,

His family so dreadfully poor,
Please lord I ask you again,
They cannot withstand much more,

My giver of life, love, and joy,
Please save little Marsha,
